Luzern, Switzerland

My husband and I spent one day in Luzern. We arrived early, too early to check in to our hotel, so we straight to exploring. We found great parking right next to the Kapellbrucke bridge which makes Luzern stand out in my mind. Luzern came to fame wayyyy back before great transportation because of this bridge. It was the first one to be built and played a great part in crossing the river with ease. This bridge went through a fire and has been rebuilt over time but it’s still has original paintings and burnt frames.

We also took a boat tour around the lake. You can buy tickets directly across from the train station, it’s hard to miss. We did the 1 hour tour, and it was a great way to get a different view of the city and mountains.

We spent hours walking through the cute alleys, admiring the architecture and views of the surrounding mountains. We later went to check in to the Best Western in Horw. It’s a 9 minute drive from Luzern and the prices are so much more affordable. We had a great view of Mt. Pilatus from our room, and I would definitely stay here again.
